[SoCoSA/discuss] Request for Comment: when and where should SoCoSA meet now?

So, as some of you have already heard, SoCoSA is "losing our lease".
Specifically, Wednesday nights at O'Reilly in Sebastopol will no longer be
available to us due to them having an actual paying tenant for Wednesday
nights.

So, as I see it, there's 5 main choices:
1) See if we can go back to Sonic.net's kitchen
2) Ron offered to let us use a conference room at Alembic in Santa Rosa
3) Move to a Monday night
4) Move to a Tuesday night
5) Move to a Thursday night

Technically it'd be possible to change nights *and* locations, but
O'Reilly's a really nice location. Fits maybe 20 without any rearranging,
and if the group expands can go up to 50 people quite comfortably with some
rearranging of furniture (like NBLUG does with the room). And if there's
other possible locations, we'd be glad to hear of them...

I've opened up a poll on the website: http://socosa.org/poll/2006/11/move --
but discussions in reply to this message will also be taken into account.

You can safely assume that if you vote for one of the Santa Rosa locations
and it turns out that that won't work for some reason, we'll assume you'd
prefer the other Santa Rosa location. And if we change nights, we'll
certainly try to pick a night that minimizes conflicts, such as not NBLUG's
night and not Perl Monger's night. In the end it'll be the board making the
final decision, but we'll definetely be paying a lot of attention to any
feedback we get from you.

Actually, that's another topic: which nights should we strictly avoid
because they'll conflict with the meeting schedule for a group that some of
our members might be interested in? I know about NBLUG on Second Tuesdays
and Sonoma Perl Mongers on last/4th Tuesdays; NCMUG has multiple meetings
every month, but the Advanced SIG on first fridays and the general meetings
on third Tuesdays are definitely dates we'd want to try avoid...
