Hi,

I have lightly followed this thread on your snmp saga.

I would suggest you seriously take a look at Zenoss Core.

I manage a mixed network with this tool and it works peachy (Windoze and Linux 
Servers, NAS, Switches, Network Printers, Network Copiers, Workstations, 
etc.) ~120 or so machines/devices.

It does take a short amount of time to setup and configure but is well worth 
it.  The forums are a good source of help and information.
