Forwarding this for someone I know from a different user group. When I
asked about work location, I got this answer: "I am the owner of the
company and I live in Sebastopol. The company is virtual and it's fine
for the person to work remotely (e.g., no need to come to my home
office). But it is a Sonoma County job."

Sys Admin needed
5-15 hours per month

Elder Pages Online is a 2-person, virtual company that provides
community education content for family caregivers of the seriously
ill. Our clients are hospices and other elder care professionals
across the U.S. who license a brandable template and its content (an e-
library and an e-newsletter) for a specific territory for which they
are given an exclusive. (None of their area competitors can license
these materials.) It's a lovely way to support families dealing with a
very difficult transition as they care for a loved one who is ailing,
and eventually dying.

We are in need of assistance with the following types of tasks:
- General security
- Establishing a failover system
- Migrating several interactive forms to a HIPAA compliant server
- Developing internal HIPAA policy
- Establishing version control system
- General server and hardware issues, PHP/MySQL upgrades, etc.
- Backup for when primary PHP programmer is on vacation or unavailable

Required knowledge and skills include:
- Linux server administration (both cPanel virtual hosts and fully
dedicated hosts), including cron scripting for backup and file
synchronization, MySQL database administration, Email config (using
qmailadmin on the dedicated host), and related tools.
- PHP scripting with HTML, CSS, and JS (using some jquery tools), no
need for visual design but must be able to work around both old and
new code.
- Security experience, in both general web/internet context and also
as it relates to HIPAA/PHI (Personal Health Information, on the secure
dedicated host).
- Team cooperation and group process, not only for project management
and tracking, but also VCS (version control systems).

Please send a resume, hourly rate and a description of what you would
like about working on a project like this to
tasha at elderpagesonline.com by Friday 6/18, 5:00 p.m. Pacific time.

Many thanks!

Tasha
