This is an ident conenction trying to get an "Identity" from your box. It's mostly
just used in
logging facilities but it has other good uses. It's nothing really to worry about, you
obviously have the service
turned off. As for sofuku.monster.org, if you type that into your web browser, you get
whisked away to a consulting firm....?

Yes, there is a way to tunnel a POP connection over ssh but you need to do some setup
on the server end. If you're using it to
retrieve mail from sonic, I'd say you're out of luck.
