Broken NFS server (or client?) (end of thread)

After I visited him and his machines, it appears the problem was a startup
script for kernel based nfsd. The NFS service now appears to work on his
machine, and the test client for the connection seemed happy too.

The difficulty I encountered in making the time for this house visit
reminded me why I don't do them. :-/

The important part is that it now works for him. :-)
