lpd problems

Tom,
    It looks like we have similar set-ups. I would like to get my color 
printing to work better. I got a nice Epson perfection 1650 scanner a 
few months ago that works great with XSane and GIMP. The Epson driver 
doesn't seem to work as well as Sane does. (I burned a nice CD of 
scanned photos using XCDRoast). The 855C color quality certainly leaves 
much to be desired. (I'll let you know if I get the color working 
better, but don't hold your breath as I may just toss it out the window 
in a rage any moment.)
