Definitely. Having more people interested in directing NBLUG is a good
thing. It is also nice to have recognition. You may notice the
'membership' section of the new web site specifies whoe the elected
officials of NBLUG are. Your name could be up in lights (or at least on
our new web pages.)

Speak for yourself! Eating good food and helping contribute to running
this LUG is not so boring. It is fun! And... it is only a 6 month
commitment! Elections are to be held every 6 months, so you dont have to
donate a full year of your life to it if you do not want to.

For example, the last few board meetings have taken place at a Thai place
where we eat good food while we discuss the future of NBLUG.

Finding speakers takes some work, but I will agree, it is rewarding.
