Good science proceeds toward greater simplicity.

E = mc^2  is a simple equation.

The first and most fundamental equation of
quantum mechanics is e = hv: first-semester
algebra stuff.

C is a simplification: before C, low-level programming
had to be done in assembly.

Linux is a simplification, because it tends to have a
unifying effect on Unix-lovers and also because it's
so easy to obtain.

Does Donald E. Knuth ever simplify anything?

Does C++ ever simplify anything?

Burdens of proof's on you. From what I've seen,
Knuth starts complex, stays complex and ends
complex, and C++ is always getter *more* complex.
