Hmm.  It looks like the control file for debianutils should have a
'Conflicts' against coreutils <= a certain version number.  Try
installing the latest version of coreutils first, or even a 'apt-get
dist-upgrade'

A very cool Debian thingee is:
http://bugs.debian.org/<packagename>/
So, <http://bugs.debian.org/debianutils> might have something useful to
say about this. (I'm too lazy to check right now)

http://packages.debian.org works the same way too, cool!
