Try this package..  compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118

It should setup the symlink

On my Red Hat 9 box it reads...

ll /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           30 Apr 11 
2000 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 -> libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so
