I tried both of the boot disks they provide, and they both failed to
detect my USB hard disk.  I doubt that the results would have been any
different had I actually installed Feather Linux on the disk.

And, yes, I know that the hard disk works because I can use it both from
Debian/testing and when I boot from a Knoppix CD.


I suppose that there may have been a thread on this list about booting
from USB devices, as Steve suggested, but I don't remember any such
discussion.  And I think that I joined the group (and the Talk list)
before such devices were at all common.
