It can't.  It gives the same error that Amarok did.

It does offer a few additional details, though.  It apparently misinterpreted 
the OGG file as an MPEG file of some kind, and not surprisingly, the MPEG 
demux couldn't make any sense of the file.  However, the Xine log viewer does 
show that it found a plugin called "xineplug_decode_vorbis.so", which sounds 
like it should be able to handle the OGG file.  Why the MPEG demux was used 
instead, I have no idea.

They are both installed.


Of course, it would have been really nice of whoever maintains the Amarok 
packages for Debian if the packages for the GStreamer and aRts engines could 
be made to worked with the current version of Amarok (current version of 
Amarok is 1.4, but those two engines are stuck at 1.2).  If nothing else, it 
would give me something to fall back on while I figure out this Xine problem.
