Have you thought of a Mac-mini?

It costs $800 and I believe it will match all your needs.

Check it out at http://www.apple.com/macmini/.

Subject: [NBLUG/talk] Mouse Server

So I am going away next year, and I will be living in an area with very
little physical space (ie college dorm :p ) but what I am hoping to do is
scrounge around and build a small, hopefully fan-less, server to store my
files on.

So, does anyone have any suggestions hardware wise for building a small
server? The biggest requirement is that it have either two pci slots or 1
pci slot and onboard Ethernet. The only suggestions I have gotten so far is
to look at soekris, but they don't seem to be what I am looking for.

So once again, any suggestions for an affordable small form-factor server
setup?

Thanks in advance,
/Nat W.
