[NBLUG/talk] 802.11b/g Wireless

Just another quick question on this subject.. Is WPA and WPA2 done at
the card level or is this software encryption?

I have a 802.11b card from linksys (WP11) but in ubuntu I only get the
option to do WEP.. So I assumed this was a limitation to the card.. 
Is this right?

Just trying to cover all my bases before I get a new card =)
