[NBLUG/talk] Audio device in use

OK, both Ekiga and Wine think I have something using my audio device.  But
lsof shows nothing

[kizoku at natsumi ~]$ cat /dev/urandom >> /dev/dsp
bash: /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
[kizoku at natsumi ~]$ lsof | grep /dev/dsp
[kizoku at natsumi ~]$

If it matters, I'm using Fedora 8.  Any idea how to find out what's using
it?  Booting fixed it, but that's annoying.
