William - Out of the 7 hosts I called today Hostgator & Quantact both
not only answered the phone fast but they will allow you to provide a
image. Hostgator said it may involve a fee (they couldn't tell me the
fee without contacting support) as it would take someone sitting down to
dd the image over.

Quantact said you can FTP the image (.tar.gz) to your VPS then use the
backup service then open a ticket for them to restore your image.
(Although after they will not offer support related to the custom OS)

Other notes Summary of my calls:

- - Softlayer   = Do not offer VPS dedicated only
- - MediaTemple = Pros: Plesk CP. Cons: price higher/DC in Virginia
- - Hostgator   = Pros: Plesk, Price
- - Thrustvps   = Pros: Price. Cons: in UK? No answer on US phone.
- - Quantact    = Pros: Local (Sonic)
- - Quickweb    = Cons: located in NZ, didn't pick up the phone.
- - Linode      = Pros: DC in Fremont Cons: Zen only

MT, Hostgator, Linode & Quantact answered the phone right away.

So now I'm leaning more towards Hostgator as they are in the same
datacenters as my current dedicated box so migration should be faster.
Also they offer Plesk licenses included and great prices.

Anyone have anything bad to say about Hostgator before I buy.
