Public response:

I'll make sure the adapter gets returned to you; let's chat offline. As always, I'm more than willing to use Bitcoin where needed and I've probably purchased way too many http://humblebundle.com bundles because of it. :)

I'll hijack this to take a moment to say I'm behind on finishing up the final bits of the slides for this talk but I hope to get them up by Monday. I'll also be sending an announcement (possibly to the announce list?) right before I'll be streaming live on January 5th, 2014 at 5:30 PST. I'll be plugging NBLUG with a streaming audience of 40,000 to 60,000 people, although most of those people will not honestly care much. :)

As an update to what I'll be talking about, I'll be demonstrating a fairly wide range of Linux development tools, including Eagle (CAD software), MPLABX (PIC Microcontroller IDE), pic32prog (Microcontroller programmer), emulators (FCEUX and lsnes), and serial interface scripting in Python on a Raspberry Pi. I'll also be taking complete control of a Super Nintendo console using the game Super Mario World through only the controller ports.

In this presentation, Allan will talk about the Tool-Assisted Speedrun community from http://tasvideos.org, game console emulators in Linux, Raspberry Pi GPIO serial interface capabilities, PCB design, reverse-engineering, and how a TAS can be an artform.
>>> There will be plenty of technical details but the presentation should be enjoyable by all, with demonstrations of games being played perfectly using tools to overcome the limitations of human reflexes and a finale of taking complete control of an unmodified Super Nintendo using only the controller input.
