It would probably be easier if you avoided the Microsoft Tax and
purchased your next laptop with Linux pre-installed. While some of the
big name manufacturers have the occasional Linux machine, there are
smaller companies that only sell Linux machine (Zareason, System 76,
and ThinkPenguin).
