I must say that I've been looking into this myself. I haven't tried
implementing OpenVPN as of yet, but I am seriously considering
replacing my Netgear firewall/vpn router with a box with Untangled
installed.

I've attempted to get my Netgear to work with VPN (ProSafe FVS318 I
think) with their software (that you have to buy - $50 per PC), but
was unable to get it to work despite hours of working on it and
getting some outside help. Since it was only a few hundred dollars
more, and Untangled already included the OpenVPN solution (plus a
deluge of other features), I'll be using Untagle very shortly. Or at
least as soon as I can find a box I want to put it on :)

I wish I could be more helpful, but I just haven't worked with VPN
much other than Cisco firewalls.

If you don't mind please let us know whatever you choose to do and
what your experience is with that solution.
