I don't know what's up with the pinging thing; some unusual firewall
configuration, perhaps?

We had at least one mysterious reboot between 11:00pm and 11:30pm last night
(power problems?  power supply?  Motherboard?  Rodents crawling around
inside case?  Maintenance I hadn't heard about?  I don't know yet; Dustin's
usually the one to deal with that sort of thing on this machine.) and a
little while after the machine came back up, apache mysteriously die; I
started apache and all seems to be well now...  maybe.
