This came up on the lugod mailing list as a result of something Pete
stated at one of their meetings. I found the article a fun read, and
thought it might be well received here.

(It is about British Telecom, abstract software patents and a lawsuit from
BT against many U.S. ISPs on use of "web links")

Perhaps, the one-click shopping restriction at amazon could be superceeded
by a complete patent ownership of "web links".
