Hey guys, I have been running qmail servers for years. Yeah it takes a
little more to get it tweaked just right. but.... it just feels good once
you do it. Postfix is very sendmail like.... I run it on one of my
laptops, very easy to compile, install and setup.
Also check out qmail the easy way, do a search on freshmeat.net. It is a
script that downloads the source for qmail and all the utiltities that
go with it,djbdns, fastforward, ezmlm etc. and installs it on your
system with very little fuss. I ran it on one of my test machines and it
did a damn good job, trouble is you still need to know how to setup qmail
to tweak it just right.
On RedHat rpm -e sendmail.... ; )
I don't think DJB allows RPM packages of his software in binary
form. He wrote it, he makes the rules....
