seeking motherboard suggestions

Why would 7.1 not install?

Up to 7.2 might not solve all problems but would probably solve more 
problems than 7.1.....if your problem was on the list of problems that were 
addressed in the upgrade.

More details on hardware you are using or planning to use might be helpful.
