from what i saw of 8.0, and their new 'blue curve' desktop which is
neither gnome nor kde, but at the same time it's both...? i think when
they hit 8.2 i think it may be ready for your non-techie friends and
relatives, heck i'm thinking of switching, and i've been a mandrake
user since 6.2.

on a side note, i missed jeremy's answer about their update utilities.
do they have something like mandrake update?
