IPv6..

So I'm seeing more and more stuff supporting IPv6.  When is this going to be
implemented, or rather, on the larger scale..  I remember hearing something
about it being backwards compatible with IPv4, is that true?  Is it possible
to start getting IPv6 addresses?  Does anyone have any good sites that
explain IPv6 clearly and concisely? :)
