The Debian Software Management System - Architecture and Real Life
Experience!

Come to the Internet Developer Group Meeting, 7-9 pm (or thereabouts) on
Tuesday September 17th at Netscape Building 22, to hear how Internet based
software management can be made to really work! Debian users, and
prospective users, can safely obtain the distribution, install it, and
depend on a responsive development staff that often closes security items
within hours of their initial discovery. This should allow for massively
more efficient administration of networked machines.

There will be two speakers at this meeting: Sean Perry, a Debian
Developer, takes us inside on the whys and wherefores of the Debian
Distribution's software delivery mechanisms addressing its capabilities,
responsiveness and security. Then George Bonser, the recent network
manager for Gator.com relates this to real life describing the network of
many hundred servers.
