[NBLUG/talk] kernel exploit and updated RH packages

hello all,

i've just spent some time hand updating the nblug mirrors with the redhat
kernel updates that address the news today about the kernel exploit.  check
out /. if you'd like to read up (story url:

on the problem (the /. story has a link the last i looked to a "sample"
exploit of sorts...it simply causes the box to reboot if it works - haven't
tested it personally, yet.)

we have mirrors of rh 7.2, 7.3, 8.0 and 9.

as always, double check your md5sums against redhat's:
