[NBLUG/talk] Hint on Samba problem

I received today an error message while transferring a file to my Linux 
box via Samba.  This is my first hint.:

Windows was unable to save all the data for the file
\Device\LanmanRedirector\T-Lix\home\gilardi\download\caseadmin\CaseAdmin.exe.  
The data has been lost.
This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or 
network connection.  Please save this file elsewhere.

Now what is the LanmanRedirector?  Could this be a "Write" to my RAID'd 
disks?  The "Read" works fine!
