Quick Synopsis:

Check out www.e-smith.org for the SME Server Developers Site.

In a nutshell, it's a customized version of RedHat that installs and
configures itself. You boot from CDROM, go through the steps and can
configure it to be a standalone server or gateway.

It comes with Apache, MySQL, Qmail, and a great server web interface.
That's a bit of a short sell, but it should give you a taste.

IMO, it's an ideal package for small businesses. It's extremely easy to
install and configure a fairly safe server setup, it has excellent
documentation, a decent amount of contributed packages, and an active
user forum.

This is not for users who want to develop their server from scratch.
GenToo and Slackware fans will probably doze off during the install
process. This is the lazy man's Linux server.

That's my $0.02, anyway.

Jeff
