Are you logged in as root?
if not login as root.

What does it say when you use the command:

echo $PATH

If you see no "/sbin" in your path and you know your root, try
command(s):

PATH=$PATH:/sbin; export PATH;

I seemed to have lost ifconfig.  I use to be able to type it and get a
response.  Now I get a “bad command not found” message.  How
can I fix this?  Where is ifconfig located?  What could I have done to
make it disappear?
