Win2k will boot from a secondary partition, as well as NT 4.0 and XP (all
versions). All the DOS based version of Windoze, however (including ME)
require being on the primary partition.

Subject: [NBLUG/talk] Resizing a linux partition.
I have a strange need to install win2k on my linux
box, but the whole partition is EXT3, so is there a tool to resize the
EXT3 partition so I can free up enough space for Win2K?
Also does anyone know if Win2K cares if it is on a secondary partition
or not? I want to leave linux on the primary partition so I don't have to
re-map the mounts and stuff.
