hmmm. As well as knowing nothing about networking (although I've just 
had a limited crash course), I also know nothing about security and 
firewalling.  Can you point me to a decent source on the subject for a 
relative newbie?  I have to admit I've never worried much about it, but 
I'm sure it's never too soon to learn.
