I admittedly have been trying to split hairs down to 
increasingly fine lengths, but the meaning of your
post eludes me.  Please clarify.

You seem to be trying to put a band-aid on the
hairs I've split, but I did it right, I tell you--I
didn't hurt a one of them!   ; )
