} You want an app called "rfb" which will export your current display. I
} think there's some client called "x0rfb" as well.
rfb is a vnc which uses :0.
As anybody seen an application for sharing a single window rather than
an entire X session?
In the redhat 7.1 powertools there is a package rfb (requires xclass
from powertools too).
It contains:
/usr/bin/x0rfbserver
/usr/bin/xplayfbs
/usr/bin/xrfbviewer
/usr/share/man/man1/x0rfbserver.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/xplayfbs.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/xrfbviewer.1.gz
Installed without errors on RedHat 7.2 and 9, but I can't get it to work
right. It has windows that come up, but they won't let me type anything
into the blanks. The server can start, but I can't connect to it with
the xrfbviewer client. rpmfind.net had a newer mandrake rpm, but it
won't install.
The server won't accept the -shared option, but it seems to default to
that. Since the dialog windows don't work I can't set a password, but I
can connect to the server with a standard VNC viewer client. So it
sorta works.
