[NBLUG/talk] How do I get RH to recognize wireless card?

Hello.

I have 2 wireless cards I am trying to use to set up a home network.
For my laptop (running redhat 8), I have a Belkin F5D6020 ver.2
pcmcia card. For the desktop (redhat 9), I have a Belkin F5D6001
ver.2 pci card. The cards use the atmel drivers which were recently
GPL'd. I posted some questions a few months ago about these cards.
Now that drivers have apparantly become available, it's time to try again.

I have downloaded and installed the drivers for these cards, but I'm
not sure how to get them working. Both redhat 8 and 9 use a gui
called 'neat' for network configuration. To set up a wireless
connection, you go through a screen or two and then are asked to
identify the wireless card. This particular screen looks as though it
would list the installed card, if RH could identify it automatically.

On my machines, all it says is 'other wireless card'. I then select
that and am given a screen that says select ethernet adapter. There's
a dropdown list of a couple dozen card choices. My card is not among
them.

Is there something I can do to have linux see these cards? I would be
happy to provide more info if it will help. Thanks.

-dave.
