[NBLUG/talk] Odd Network Effect?

Hey.  This is a wierd one:

I have a laptop and desktop network set up where the desktop acts as a
gateway for the laptop, which uses masquerade to get out on the net.

For the last 2 days or so, I have been unable to get slashdot.org or
newsforge from the laptop.  I can get other sites from the laptop, but
not those 2.  I can reach the sites from the desktop.

Does anyone have a clue as to why this behavior is occurring?
