[NBLUG/talk] Expect?

My University uses the Cisco VPN 3000 client to connect to our campus 
VPN. It's a CLI program and what I want to do is throw a GUI on it. i.e. 
prompt me for password, etc. Then show me the IP address I'm connected 
to (which is given on the screen) and possibly even have it sit in the 
applet bar. What can I use to do this? Something like expectk? Some kind 
of gtk interface?? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
