[NBLUG/talk] Changed Network

Amanda is a MySQL (4.0.4-beta-log) server running Red Hat Linux release
8.0 (Psyche). She works in conjunction with our web server Clara also 8.0.
About the only process run locally is a report generating perl program
that generates reports for customers and emails them to them. A variant of
this program also tests our connections hourly. As some of the customers
encountered problems recieving mail from ip addreses I set Amanda up to
Masquarde as @corporate-image.com in sendmail.

It had worked perfectly (over a year) until the network changeover a week
ago. Now I see that "lynx www.google.com" is having the same trouble on
Clara, but yet again "host www.google.com" returns a reply in nanoseconds.
Also pine hung durring testing for about 45seconds on each send from
Amanda.

I really think this is a network configuration error and not a Sendmail
issue. Hope I didn't screw anything up in sendmail :-).
