Errrrr... lynx & mozilla "won't" resolve?  Or are they just slow?
Maybe I misunderstood... but this feels like a DNS problem.

What about other commands; e.g. how do
   telnet www.sonic.net 80
   telnet 209.204.190.64 80
behave?
