[NBLUG/talk] Multiple writes to the same file.

Hmmm. I've got 50 process I currently run (perl). Last night they produced
50 log files. It's getting annoying to read 50 log files (I started with 2
process and will probably end up with 200 or so). So today I tried an
experiment and hooked them all up to the same file and ran them. It worked
very nicely although I'll obviously have to identify the process
statements in the log. I'm redirecting STDOUT and STDERR to this file for
all 50. Is this bad? Can it screw up? This may well make my job a lot
easier if it does work. Oh, I didn't find much on google about this, but
thought you guys might have an opinion.

Oh, this is rich....

I thought I'd say what this is under so I went to /etc and looked for a
release file....

I found redhat-release which says "Mandrake Linux release 10.0 (Official)
for i586", but I now see that it's actually a link to the file
mandrake-release. Humorous.
