Need a hand here...

I have a file which contains, $1 ( TCPIP address ) $2 user

file |wc -l  = 559


however I know I am using only 482 addresses...

So what I can see is that a machine was logged into by several people..

so I want to have "fileout" with no repeating IP's.....


I'd prefer an awk line here , but am unsure how to do: 

while new line is not = to previous line then...
