[NBLUG/talk] USB floppy drive

I'm thinking about the Inspirion 1000 "Essentail
Features". Now I'm debating whether or not I should
buy the USB floppy drive. Does anybody know how well
those are supported under Linux, or whether or not I
can boot from a USB drive? (I probably won't ever need
to boot off anything but the CD and hard disk, but
it's nice to know.)
