[NBLUG/talk] Debian testing, sendmail and smtp auth

I had a working debian testing box, running smtp auth.. After the last
apt-get update, apt-get upgrade.. smtp auth stopped working.

I've checked all the configs for sasl and pam, and for sendmail, and
nothing has changed.. Yet issueing an ehlo localhost to sendmail does
not show the AUTH option anymore.

Sendmail is hand compiled, not installed from a package, but sasl and
basicly everything else is.

Has anyone heard of any thing breaking with the last testing update?
Have any ideas what could have went wrong here?
