[NBLUG/talk] Is there a script to automatically fill a CD with many small files?

I have a large number of directories of documents and supporting graphics that 
I'd like to archive to CD's . In many instances the files don't even need to 
remain in their directories as they are named by client.date.type file names.

I would also like to fill the CDs as much as possible.

Does anyone know of a script that will scan the directories and assemble 'best 
use fill' images or at least identify the files to be burned?
