[NBLUG/talk] Quicken vs. GnuCash vs. ??

Hi Everyone,

An accountant recommended Quicken, so naturally I'm trying to find something equivalent in the Open Source world!

My specific goal is to set up several accounts and enter many years of historical banking data, with the hope to trace the flow of cash and payments from one account through others.

I have an old version of Quicken 98 lying around unused, so I suppose I could load it up under Win XP and give it a whirl.

I would prefer to try something a bit more up to date from the OSS world. Do any of you have any experience with GnuCash or any of the other OSS financial applications?

I've googled a bit, and come up with a few ancient reviews. Does anyone know of any reliable and recent information on financial applications?

 Thanks,
 Rick
