Hi Paul,

This wont help too much, but as long as you have 512 mb of ram and at least
5 gb of hard drive space you can run a decent Linux system. It really all
comes down to how much you want to spend, because Linux will run on just
about anything :)

I'm signed up for the Installfest at the end of the month.I am also signed 
up with the hp learning center for LINUX 201, which is the installation of 
Linux. I don't have my own computer yet, but need to get a laptop so I can 
install Linux without screwing up the computer which I use. So, what do I 
get for this purpose? I'm looking at refurbished HP stuff. Thanks for your 
help.
