Knoppix can understand a Mac partition table. It'll build an
fstab showing all the partitions, but the filesystem type will
be set to "auto". Change that to "hfsplus" and add the "ro"
option, just to be safe. Then modprobe hfsplus, mount your
partition(s) and save your stuff.
