[NBLUG/talk] GNOME apps stopped working in KDE?

Has anyone else noticed that GNOME-based applications released in the last few 
months seem to fail if you try to run them under KDE?  I'm getting errors of 
this general form:

*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x080fd2a8 ***


I'm running Debian/testing, and I recently reinstalled so I'm pretty sure it's 
not a configuration error specific to my system.
