Thanks, Kyle & Matt.  I'm pretty confused, but I'm getting the correct 
md5 sum from my ISO image, which I think came from the sonic mirror 
directory.  Just to make sure, I downloaded a copy from Knoppix.org and 
reburned.  I now have a working copy.
