[NBLUG/talk] More Parts...

I'm new to the Group I just registered last week or so. I also have a large amount of parts that I would like to part with (no pun intended). I can bring them to the next install fest. Just so you know it's nothing exciting:
some small HDs,
some CD drives
Lots of cables
some motherboards and memory
I don't know if anyone is interested, but they are good "garage hacking" parts.
BTW: Does anyone know much about OpenLDAP?

Hey, Mark:
For the stuff Chris doesn't want:
We are nearly ready to announce the next installfest - the probable date
will be Sat. October 20th. If you are interested in lugging it down, I
could try and drum up other interested parties...
-dave.

To bad I am missing the next meet, I might just prep a box of stuff
and hand it off to someone that is going. I think a big box of "works
in linux" stuff might be kind of handy for install/hack fests.

I know the Installfest box that I store at my house has at least a half
dozen network cards in it - I guess way back before my time there was a
need for that but linux has come a long way...

I am guessing the nics pile up, I have a few wireless cards (b and g)
that work in Linux. I am not sure who asked me at the last
installfest, but I was trying to troubleshoot your wifi problem. If
you still haven't found a good working wifi card, let me know.

That's not a PC, that's a hub! :-)

Assembly language experience is [important] for the maturity and
understanding of how computers work that it provides.

Ah - I should have been more clear: I meant 'box' in the traditional
sense of 'a storage container' rather than 'a computer'. A computer
with 6 or more network cards would be pretty interesting...
